We’re Here to Grow Together

No matter how many times we return to Scripture, there is always more to learn about the God who gave us His Word. The stories may be familiar and the verses well loved, but we will never reach the end of knowing Him. How beautiful is that?

His Word does meet us right in the middle of our lives, offering wisdom, comfort, truth, and so much more. But the greatest gift He gives us through His Word is that we come to know God Himself—His character, His holiness, His mercy, and His faithfulness. We come to know the great I AM: the God who makes Himself known and is present with His people. And the more we know Him, the more we deeply learn to love and trust Him.

A Place to keep coming back to his word

Hi! I’m Stephanie. Sparrow + Thread has taken a few different shapes over the years, but the heart behind it has stayed the same: I want women to know God more deeply and to recognize His faithfulness in their everyday lives.

Today, I think of this space as a writing desk—a place to sit down with Scripture, ask honest questions, and share what I’m learning about Him. I don’t come with all the answers. I simply come with my Bible open, grateful that we can keep learning together.

What Does It Mean To Love God With All Your Mind?

While studying Exodus, I wrote down a sentence I heard Jen Wilkin share:

“The heart cannot love what the mind does not know.”

And I haven’t stopped thinking about it. We often talk about loving God with all of our heart and soul. But what does it look like to love Him with our minds, to seek to know Him as He has revealed in His Word? And what does it mean to let that knowledge deepen our love for Him?
